Young Shakespeare Company Workshop Day

The VIth Formt spent the morning immersed in the world of Shakespeare. This was their fouth visit to the school and probably their loudest production to date. Various members of the YSC cast took on the roles of Macbeth, Mcduff, Duncan, Banquo and Lady Macbeth while the girls were able to fill in some of the more minor roles. The company perform the play section by section pausing to explain the plot and character development though a series of questions and answers. A foggy November morning in the Hall at Hanford provided the perfect back drop for a Jacobean tradegy first performed for King James a year after the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot.
