We pride ourselves on bringing out the best in the girls – whatever it might be – and the girls this year have demonstrated this perfectly. 2015 has been an astonishingly successful term from the point of view of Senior School Scholarships with eleven awards in total: academic scholarships to Marlborough, St Mary’s Shaftesbury and Godolphin; a music scholarship to Sherborne; two Head’s Scholarships to St Mary’s Shaftesbury; Art Scholarships to Bryanston and St Mary’s Shaftesbury; an All-Rounder Scholarship to Sherborne Girls; the Richard Hunter Scholarship to Bryanston; and the Jolie Brise Scholarship to Dauntsey’s.
This is testament not only to the ability of the girls, but also to the quality and dedication of the staff who have prepared, supported and encouraged the girls over the past few years. At the same time, I would like to mention those girls who sat scholarships but were not lucky enough to secure an award. They should be proud of all they have achieved: to be put forward for a scholarship is no mean feat – and we know that they performed very well on the day.
