On Wednesday 22nd January, Hanford school U13 netball team went to Bryanston who hosted a brilliant tournament with at least forty schools.
We came third in our section drawing with Farleigh and were narrowly beaten by Dumpton who we beat at the county finals last year. We beat the rest of our section easily. We then played the other teams who came third in their section. We had a fabulous last game beating Claysmore 9-1 in 8 minutes. This meant we had won out of the teams who came third.
We were all very pleased with our result and Elly Murray brown was awarded player of the match.
Overall the tournament was successful and we came home with the “glass” trophy.
On the 22nd of January the U11 Netball team played at the Bryanston Prep Schools Tournament. We finished 3rd in our group and went on to play for the Glass Trophy which we then won ! This was much deserved from all our hard work. After the tournament we had delicious hot chocolate and donuts to warm us up. We all had a lot of fun and it was definitely a day to remember.
