On the first day of term Rough Form climbed up Hod Hill to have a picnic and a history lesson. We walked up Hod Hill with Mrs Rough and Mrs Maughan, it was very tiring when we went up the very steep bit but it was worth it in the end. When we got to the top the view was beautiful, we could see for miles. As this is an ancient fort, there are many dips and ditches in the hill. We learnt that the Celts would build their houses on top of high hills so that their enemies could not attack easily, we also found out that the women made their daughters go down the steep hill to get water from the stream.
