Whilst we believe that we fulfil the aims of the school very well, we also reconise that as teachers we must constantly review the curriculum and look at ways to improve the education of our girls in a forever changing world. The aim of the character curriculum is to provide the girls with the tools they need to build up their intellectual and emotional character, alongside the academic curriculum, so that they can become effective learners and skillful thinkers for life.
The best way that we can encourage our girls to fulfil their potential and to lead happy, contented lives, is to ensure that we all develop a growth mindset.
Each term we aim to introduce a character attribute for the whole school. In addition, each year group has a specific character attribute. Pastoral Tutors work closely with their tutees to discuss and encourage the development of specific, personal traits.
