Welcome to Hanford

Hanford is a leading preparatory boarding and day school for some 100 girls aged 7 to 13, set in 45 acres of rolling Dorset countryside. While the great majority of our children board, we have always welcomed day girls and weekly boarders who live locally.

The majority of girls come from Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. We also have a large contingent from London and have always had a strong link with service and diplomatic families.

Hanford is a special place where excellent results are achieved, but where childhood is still magical.

Nigel Mackay, Headmaster
